One book link, Every store Booklinker.com 3/3/2026 Hello, I received so many responses from the Collections Challenge last month, I decided to do another one. This time we're going to dive into data. Wait—don’t leave yet. I promise I'm not going to get into anything too intense that involves lots of numbers, graphs, x-axis, vectors, gradients and any other fancy math term you can think of. I'm a writer, not a data scientist. You may not know this, but Booklinker provides you with some basic data for each link that allows you to see the number of clicks, what country they came from and from what retailer. The numbers themselves aren't the interesting part. What matters is what they can tell you. To find the numbers, go to your Booklinker dashboard. Here are a few simple ways to use this information• See if readers are actually clicking your links • Discover where your readers are located • Track which places send readers to your book For example: Newsletter link TikTok link Now when you look at the clicks, you can see which platform is actually sending readers to your book page. None of this requires spreadsheets or complicated analysis. It’s simply a way to get small clues about what’s catching readers’ attention and where they’re discovering your books. I loved Kathleen's story and wanted to share. She hopes it will help and inspire someone else. Kathleen's StoryEvery year I do a business plan and for the last few years, I’d get to week 2 in January and feel li ke I’d failed already. When I first started this gig, I’d celebrate every release. I’d go to lunch, one year I purchased a gold bracelet but for the past few (many) years I’ve stopped doing that because I felt like a failure. Even though I’m not. So this year I’m celebrating all my releases. And it might only be with my favourite chocolate or taking time out to go for a walk but I’m going to do something. One book link, Every store Booklinker.com 4/7/2026 Hello, It's springtime in the U.S. which means one thing...spring cleaning! There is one area of cleaning most of us forget about and no it's not washing your windows. I'm talking about a spring cleaning for your books. There are elements of our author business that happen behind the scenes that need some occasional attention. Think of it like cleaning out the pantry or a closet. There are probably things in there you don't need anymore or...
One book link, Every store Booklinker.com 3/22/2026 Hello, "Just Do it." Nike is definitely on to something here. It's short and to the point. There really is no way to misunderstand the statement. It's straightforward and requires action. But notice one thing. The word "all" is no where to be found. It is not "Just Do It All." By adding that one small word, the phrase becomes instantly overwhelming. I've seen many authors (including myself) dive head first into a "Just Do It All" kind of...
