Just Do It--maybe, Atticus Tip, - Booklinker March 2026 Broadcast #2

Hello,

"Just Do it."

Nike is definitely on to something here. It's short and to the point. There really is no way to misunderstand the statement. It's straightforward and requires action.

But notice one thing. The word "all" is no where to be found. It is not "Just Do It All." By adding that one small word, the phrase becomes instantly overwhelming.

I've seen many authors (including myself) dive head first into a "Just Do It All" kind of marketing. We get excited about the possibilities and the book sales that are sure to follow.

Then when we burn out and get frustrated, we stop. We blame it on the marketing and say we hate marketing or say that it doesn't work. And there is some truth to it, because when we try to do everything, we can't do the individual tasks well.

Instead, it's better to build slowly and provide a solid structure before adding more on. If you want to build your social media marketing, start with one platform. Then when you start getting traction there, add another one. Do you want to do paid ads? Start with one, like Amazon, before adding Facebook ads to the mix.

Slow and steady wins the race. It allows you to focus and dive deep into one aspect of marketing. You will understand it better and have a better chance of success.

So, get out there and "Just Do It!"
(no "all" needed).

What is one marketing strategy you are currently using or one you plan to do soon? Let me know.

Happy Marketing!

Dear Writer, You Need to Quit

By Becca Syme

I know, I know, you don’t want to quit writing, and I’m not going to convince you to quit writing. (I’m really not trying to do that…) But what if you could quit other things? Things that weren’t moving the needle? Things that weren’t bringing you the outcome you want? And there are *so* many things you do need to quit, if you want to be a career author.

One book link, Every store Booklinker.com 3/3/2026 Hello, I received so many responses from the Collections Challenge last month, I decided to do another one. This time we're going to dive into data. Wait—don’t leave yet. I promise I'm not going to get into anything too intense that involves lots of numbers, graphs, x-axis, vectors, gradients and any other fancy math term you can think of.
