Hello authors!

In our last Broadcast, I shared some ideas on how you can prep for Amazon Prime Days next week (June 23-26). Now I want to share specific actions you can take to increase your book sales during the event.

πŸ“¦ 5 Ways to Increase Book Sales During Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day (June 23-26) brings millions of shoppers to Amazon looking for deals. While books may not be the main attraction, readers are already in a buying mindset. Here are five ways to take advantage of the increased traffic.

1. Discount the First Book in Your Series
Prime Day shoppers are looking for bargains. A temporary discount on Book 1 can encourage readers to take a chance on a new author. The goal isn't just to sell that one bookβ€”it's to get readers hooked on the series.

2. Promote Box Sets and Omnibuses
Readers love getting more for their money. If you have a box set, omnibus, or bundle of books, now is the time to feature it. Prime Day shoppers are especially receptive to offers that provide obvious value.

3. Increase Your Amazon Ad Budget
If you're already running Amazon ads, consider increasing your budget during Prime Day. More shoppers are browsing Amazon, which means more opportunities for readers to discover your books.

4. Tell Readers About Your Sale More Than Once
One social media post isn't enough. Mention your Prime Day promotion in your newsletter, post about it on social media before and during the event, and remind readers before the sale ends. Many readers need multiple reminders before they take action.

5. Focus on Your Best-Selling Book or Series
Don't try to promote everything. Choose the book, series, or bundle most likely to attract new readers and put all your marketing efforts behind it. A focused promotion is often more effective than spreading attention across your entire catalog.

Two things that I plan to do with the books I publish with my coauthor under the pen name, C.G. Harris, is to drop the price to .99 cents for book 1 in a new series and create an ebook bundle with the first books in four different series and offer it for $4.99.

Let me know what you plan to do.

Booklinker Just Got Easier

Check it out for yourself. Go to Booklinker.com and create a new link or go into your dashboard and create a new Collections page.

A quicker workflow

Creating multiple links is now faster. Use the "New" button to create another Booklinker link without going back to the dashboard homepage.

A quick tip

After creating or updating a link, give Booklinker a minute or two to find all available stores. If you don't immediately see all retailer options on the landing page, simply refresh the page.

Because marketing your book shouldn’t feel overwhelming

psst... I'll let you in on a secret. If you use the promo code, LABTEST50, you will get 50% off the first month (which makes the cost less than one Starbucks).

One book link, Every store Booklinker.com 09/12/2026 Hello authors, Currently I’m getting ready to launch my 6th Kickstarter campaign with my coauthor. For the past couple of years, we have been using Kickstarter as an early marketing strategy for a new book or series. Our campaigns have ranged from $100 to $1,000. Our goals with...

Work Together

One book link, Every store Booklinker.com 08/12/2026 Hello authors, You are not my competition. As many of you know, in addition to my work at Booklinker, I'm also an author. I publish sci-fi and fantasy, which means some of you are trying to reach the exact same readers I am. And that's a good thing. Readers don't finish a book they love and think, "Well, I guess I won't be reading any more." They want another book. And another one after that. There are plenty of readers to go around, and...
