Whether you have $25 or $100 to spend each month, the key is knowing where your money will have the greatest impact. Drawing on more than 25 years in publishing, Kerrie Flanagan will show you how to make every marketing dollar count. You'll learn how to prioritize your budget, choose the right marketing tools, combine free and paid promotions, and easily measure what's actually working so you can confidently decide where to invest next. One of my favorite things I've been following lately is Jesse Lakes' Publishing Landscape Project. Jesse, author and founder of Geniuslink, is taking on a pretty ambitious challenge: mapping the book marketing landscape in a way that actually makes sense. Instead of another giant list of tools, he's organizing them by when authors need them, from building your foundation to getting discovered to measuring what actually worked. What makes this interesting is that it's not finished. Jesse is building the map out in the open on LinkedIn, and every post is an invitation for authors to share what's worked for them, what's missing, and what deserves a place on the map. Here are the latest layers:
If you've found a tool that's made a difference for your books, or think something's missing from the map, jump into the comments. The more perspectives Jesse gets, the more useful this resource will be for the entire author community. When I’ve talked with other authors about Kickstarter, most think you would only use it if you are trying to raise thousands of dollars. The truth is you don’t. Our campaigns have ranged from $100 to $1,000. Our goals with...
One book link, Every store Booklinker.com 08/12/2026 Hello authors, You are not my competition. As many of you know, in addition to my work at Booklinker, I'm also an author. I publish sci-fi and fantasy, which means some of you are trying to reach the exact same readers I am. And that's a good thing.
